Overview
Coffee packaging is the first touchpoint between the brand and the consumer - its design must instantly communicate quality, flavor, and brand story to stand out in a saturated market. And strategic packaging influences purchasing decisions by evoking emotions, building trust, and creating a memorable shelf presence that turns casual buyers into loyal customers.
The primary aim of this academic project was to sharpen our design skills around packaging design, grids and layout, as well as elevating the brand's packaging presence. This is solely for educational purposes only and is a hypothetical concept of the existing Starbucks Costa Rica coffee.

Existing packaging

The approach
I began by brainstorming various layout ideas and the proceeded to create a dieline of my finalized concept to ensure the correct layout of my physical package.
Throughout the explorations, consistency was maintained with the existing packaging by utilizing the appropriate color palette and design style.
Redesigned packaging concepts

The second concept
This concept revolved around a more elegant and minimal design by reducing the clutter of graphic elements.
The vision for this final concept was a new, matte-paper finish packaging that would stand out on the shelves among other coffee selections.
